The Supercritical Transformational Electric Power (STEP) Demo pilot plant at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) in San Antonio has achieved its simple cycle maximum power for the first time. As STEP achieved this milestone, it was synchronized with the electrical grid, generating approximately four megawatts of net power.
