Southwest Research Institute is combining its expertise in powertrain development and fuels and lubricants to target electric vehicle fluids, or “e-fluids,” as part of the new Advanced Fluids for Electrified Vehicles (AFEV) industry consortium. OEMs, lubricant manufacturers and suppliers are invited to join to gain new insights on the oxidation control, aeration, heat transfer, and electrical conductivity properties of e-fluids, in addition to other focus areas. The consortium kicks off this summer.
