Using Hubble Space Telescope datasets and comparing them to the expected values of atmospheric emissions, Southwest Research Institute scientists played a crucial role in this discovery of water vapor in the atmosphere of Jupiter’s icy moon Ganymede, shown here in a recent image captured by the Juno spacecraft.
