Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division has awarded Southwest Research Institute a contract worth up to $39 million over five years to continue developing tactical and non-tactical technology. The contract will allow SwRI to continue producing systems such as this Long-Range Ocular Interrupter, which uses an array of visible lasers to project an eye-safe beam up to several kilometers.
