REPAIR Consortium Meeting

Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) will be introducing the Robotic Engineering for Paint and Industrial Renewal (REPAIR) consortium in Houston, TX. The REPAIR Consortium brings together asset owners, service providers, and equipment manufacturers to collaboratively address challenges with surface maintenance operations found on offshore rigs, in industrial facilities, and on maritime vessels.

The REPAIR consortium’s goal is to develop scalable and adaptable advanced robotic hardware and software solutions centered around surface maintenance operations of corrosion detection, surface preparation, and coating application. By bringing together multiple industries, the REPAIR consortium’s innovative projects have the potential to transform and create new opportunities in oil and gas, maritime, chemical, nuclear, and more.
