Southwest Research Institute engineer Alex Youngs demonstrates the self-driving capability of the SwRI automated shuttle as the 14-passenger vehicle ferries passengers on a tour of the Institute’s campus in San Antonio. While the self-driving vehicle navigates pre-programmed campus routes autonomously, a human driver is always behind the steering wheel for added safety.
